Expected and launched 2012 tablets
Acer Iconia Tab A200 – there are a lot of expensive tablets on the market nowadays, but this is not the case of the A200. This budget 10.1 incher is basically the low-cost version of the A500, so if you want a tablet under $350 this is the one for you.
Acer Iconia Tab A510 – the successor of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 is the A510. Nevertheless, it was time for an upgrade, so this time you’ll get a Tegra 3 CPU instead of the Tegra 2 found on the A500.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 – the first high-resolution tablet from Acer, brings a very good 1320 x 1200 pixel resolution to the game. Overall a good 10.1 inch Tegra 3 device, but not the most impressive one you can look for
Archos 70B – a cheap 7 inch tablet with a good 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It surely is not the most powerful tablet on the market, but if you want a tablet Honeycomb tablet under $200 and you don’t want to be tied to a mobile broadband operator as with the case of the ZTE Optik, then you really don’t want to miss the Archos 70B
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime – not a 2012 tablet, but so damn good it was impossible not to include it in this round-up. With a Tegra 3 processor and 12 hours of runtime in a single charge, it is at this moment the best-value tablet on the market
Lenovo IdeaTab S2 – is a tablet which promises to compete with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, offering a 18 hour battery life due to its optional keyboard docking station. It comes with a dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and many more details you can read about in its review
Razer Project Fiona – the true gaming tablet from Razer promises a unique gaming experience under $1000. Not your average tablet, Project Fiona has been specially designed for gaming both on the go but this doesn’t meant that it can’t be transformed into a real gaming station.
Toshiba Excite X10 – probably the thinnest tablet on the market at the time of this writing, comes with a dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 CPU running at 1GHz and 1GB of RAM. Stylish, with a aluminum casing, it promises to deliver ultra-mobility to ultra-dynamic people
ZTE Optik – coming in at a price of $99 with a two-year contract from Sprint, it seems like the best deal on the market. Nevertheless, this dual-core 7 inch tablet is something to be looking at right now
